Dollar Store Dolls
Once again it happened...and once again the authorities bleated "This is NOT who we are!" I'm referring here to the latest episode of USrael police brutality caught on video by bystanders. If it weren't for the trusty cell phone camera...there would be murders in the street on a daily basis by police. Catching it on video and then uploading and having it "go viral" is the only thing holding them back.

A couple has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the Phoenix Police Department alleging civil rights violations and police brutality after an officer allegedly pulled their guns on the family. Unbeknownst to Dravon Ames and Lesha Harper, their 4-year-old daughter had taken a doll from a Family Dollar Store, CBS affiliate KPHO-TV reported.
The family claims they weren't aware their daughter had taken the doll until they were in their car and on their way to a nearby apartment complex where their babysitter lived. That's when they said a police car silently pulled up behind them and an officer went up to Ames and allegedly pointed a gun at him.
According to the suit, Ames was pulled out of the car, kicked in the right leg and punched in the back — all while Harper, who is pregnant, and her 4-year-old and 1-year-old daughter remained in the car. The officer reportedly also pointed his gun at Harper and her children...."

Greencrow says: You really have to watch the videos to see how awful this was. The cameras don't capture too much, but the audio is astounding. Remember all those WWII movies where the soldiers were firing at the Germans from foxholes? Remember those "shoot 'em up" Westerns where the cowboys were shooting up the saloon? They have nothing on this. The police sound as though they're confronting Al Capone in some New York City back alley...during the tense stand-off that was going on.

And all over...what? A "Barbie"-type doll a 4 year old girl took from a dollar store in Phoenix, Arizona?! Yes, the city officials were all apologetic after the videos went viral..."This is NOT who We are." Sorry, but that is EXACTLY who you are! You allow police officers to routinely terrify citizens--as if citizens were sworn enemies of the state. There's been enough of these incidents in the United States of Israel that it's clear that the police have been trained to view citizens AS SWORN ENEMIES OF THE STATE.
The fact that this goes on in USrael on a daily basis, year in and year out, means that it's not an accident and it's not an aberration. It's the way things are. If the parents and the children had been white...do you think things would have gone down the way they did? Of course not. Are there any black officers on the Phoenix police force? Not according to the video.
As a part of any thorough and meaningful investigation of the above incident...there should be a disclosure about the training of these officers. Is it true, as we have heard, that many North American police forces have been trained by Israeli police instructors?
I hope the parents do sue the City of Phoenix for $10 million. Maybe that will awaken them and other cities like them to the downside of training cops on the beat to be SWAT teams and/or wartime special assault forces.
Oh...and the City of Phoenix should pay for the counselling fees for the little girls...and allow the 4 year old to keep the doll.
