Galangan kapal PT Daya Radar Utama fasilitas produksi Lampung pada hari Sabtu kemarin (01/06) kembali meluncurkan pesanan kapal angkut tank ke-6 (AT-6) pesanan Kemenhan untuk TNI Angkatan Laut.
Kapal jenis Landing Ship Tank ini akan diberi nama KRI Teluk Palu dengan nomor lambung kapal 523. Teluk Palu adalah nama teluk di Sulawesi Selatan yang cukup strategis dimana TNI AL juga mempunyai fasilitas dermaga kapal selam disana.
Kapal ini akan melengkapi armada Komando Lintas Laut Militer (Kolinlamil) yang saat ini telah dan akan menerima beberapa kapal LST baru yaitu KRI Teluk Bintuni (520), KRI Teluk Lada (521), KRI Teluk Youtefa (522), satu lagi kapal LST adalah KRI Teluk Calang (524) yang beberapa saat lagi akan diluncurkan oleh galangan DRU.
Masih ada dua lagi kapal LST baru untuk TNI AL lagi yakni KRI Teluk Kendari (518) dan KRI Teluk Kupang (519) mengalami kendala teknis dalam pembangunannya sehingga terlambat untuk diserahkan dari galangan PT DKB kepada Kemenhan. Diharapkan pada tahun ini kedua kapal tersebut dapat bergabung ke jajaran armada TNI AL.
