L’Arma dei carabinieri e il ministero della Difesa hanno presentato istanza per costituirsi come parti civili nell’ambito del filone dell’inchiesta sui presunti depistaggi nel caso di Stefano Cucchi, morto il 22 ottobre 2009. Per questa vicenda la procura di Roma, con il pm Giovanni Musarò, ha chiesto il rinvio a giudizio per otto carabinieri tra cui figurano tra gli altri, il generale Alessandro Casarsa, allora comandante del Gruppo Roma, e Lorenzo Sabatino, allora comandante del reparto operativo dei carabinieri di Roma.
