Né la noia, né il “vuoto profondo”, né tantomeno “la mancanza di bar” o attività di svago in zona sono a fondamento della serie di seviziealle quali è stato sottoposto il 66enne di Manduria. E’ bene fare piazza pulita di triti luoghi comuni che non aggiungono nulla a un’analisi sociologica di questo fenomeno. Ognuno di noi ha il ricordo di interminabili giornate adolescenziali colme di noia con pomeriggi infiniti da riempire. Non per questo si andava in giro a torturare i passanti. E’ necessario introdurre nel lessico quotidiano le categorie cliniche che la psicoanalisi ha evinto, e dare alle cose il loro nome: questo modo di agire si chiama sadismo.
Il sadico trae un godimento infinito nel ridurre l’altro a oggetto, ottenendo soddisfacimento in maniera proporzionale alla sofferenza che riesce a infliggergli. Il sadico “fa vibrare le corde dell’angoscia” nell’altro, instaurando su di lui un potere che pretende illimitato. Il sadico perverso è una struttura di personalità ben delineata, presente nella società, che non paga pegno ad alcun fattore sociale, se non facilitata da un allentamentodella percezione del limite imposto dalla legge. Questi comportamenti adolescenziali costituiscono in nuce ciò che sovente sfocerà negli atteggiamenti persecutori verso la donna o nelle mattanze da caserma.
