Just a quick update post on the
Regime Change Crisis going on in the Great White North. Yesterday, I sat down in front of the Talmudvision to watch
Opposition Leader Andrew [can't travel to Russia] Scheer make an "important announcement". This announcement had been promised the day before. I was sure the press conference was going to be about the RCMP investigation into the SNC Lavalin Affair, that Scheer had requested some weeks ago in a letter to the RCMP.
I hoped he was going to say that he had received a reply from the RCMP and, yes, they were going to do their duty and investigate
the orchestrated attempted obstruction of justice/interference in a prosecution that the Liberals are patently guilty of. This would be a kind of redemption for the RCMP...who are currently (along with CSIS) operating under a cloud of corruption allegations. I have written on this blog about
one such corruption allegation...the
Nuttall Korody case which the Appeals Court Judges deemed a "
travesty of justice" Hellooo?!
Anyhooooooo...I was sitting there waiting for such an announcement, when low and behold, Scheer comes on the TV and reveals that he has
received a "lawyers letter" written "WITH PREJUDICE" from lawyers representing Trudeau,
threatening him [Scheer] with a libel lawsuit unless he [Scheer] stops telling the truth about Trudeau's actions/behaviour in the SNC Lavalin matter.
You could have knocked me over with a feather. This is prima
facie evidence that Trudeau is not rowing with both oars...that he's slipped a gear or two. Perhaps he was
high on pot when he order the lawyer to write the catatonically stupid letter "
WITH PREJUDICE".
Lol. I was a Legal Assistant for a total of 12 years and typed thousands and thousands of lawyers letters
"WITHOUT PREJUDICE". Never, in all those 12 years, did I ever SEE, much less type, a letter that had "
WITH PREJUDICE" at the top. Trudeau is getting VERY BAD legal advice. Either that, or the lawyer tried to save him but was unable to due to "terminal hubris" on the part of le Dauphin.
The letter is one of those missives you would love to be able to get back...to be able to run to the mail box in desperation and try to fish out...lol.
It is an absolute gift to Scheer. It ma
kes Trudeau look like a fool and unfit for office. Folks, the wheels are coming off the bus.
Watch for any Liberal backbenchers with two brain neurons to rub together to start swimming away from the ship.
That will be the main fallout from this. It gives Liberal MP's with a sense of self-preservation a way out. Watch as dozens of "independent" MP's starting to fill the back rows of Parliament...and as the sun sets on the notable and ignoble career of Justin Trudeau.
