On friday (April 5, 2019) at 11.29 pm Thai Navy has launched a weapon of C-802A missile. In the Andaman Sea as part of the annual Navy training in 2019, with Admiral Luechai Ruddidit, Naval Commander, Admiral Sophon Wattanamongkol, Deputy Naval Commander, Admiral Sukitti Sangiamphong, Assistant Chief of Naval Operations Lieutenant Chatchaisri Worakhan, Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Noppadon Supakorn, Commander of the Battle Squadron And the navy officers of the Royal Thai Navy join forces to observe training on the Royal Chakri Naruebet.
The launch of the missile launching training program, this time, the Royal Thai Navy has conducted a C-802A missile launching campaign from the HTMS Kraburi ship as a launching ship with the objective to test the true capability of the C-802A launch weapon.
Today's shooting training is a shooting through the target unit's report to a moving target independent (Extreme Tactical Shooting) by the training area. The shooting is 180 kilometers from the shore, from Phang Nga naval base.
By at 11.34 pm after the C-802A has been released from the firing tube on the frigates, identifying the 100 km away at 0.94 mach, and the target was accurately destroyed, where the weapon was released. The C-802A missile launcher is a surface to surface missile launching from the People's Republic of China. After acquisition by the Navy, this weapon was installed in the HTMS Kraburi (457) and HTMS Saiburi (458) frigates.

For the C-802A missile launcher, it has 6.383 meters in length and 0.36 meters in diameter, while the wings are 1.22 meters and 0.72 meters when folded, with a total weight of 802 kilograms.
By training this weapon is part of the sea field training for the year 2019 in the Code of Naval Training 62 at the Andaman Sea.
In order to keep the personnel at all levels and all combat units with maximum availability as a result, the Navy is able to protect national interests by sea, from the normal situation to the highest crisis situation not less than any country in the region.
