Canadian PM Trudeau with Chief of Staff Katie Telford
Still wondering when Trudeau's chief of staff, Katie Telford is going to resign her position over her unseemly remarks as revealed by the testimony before the Commons Justice Committee of former Attorney General, Jody Wilson-Raybould.
Katie Telford told JWR that she'd [Katie] had "heard enough legalities" during a session where Telford and former Principal Secretary Gerald Butts were pressuring JWR to intervene with the Chief of Prosecutions on behalf of Corporate megalith, SNC Lavalin. She was also reported as saying that if it was "cover" that JWR needed in order to interfere with the decision to prosecute SNC Lavalin, she [Katie Telford] "could arrange to have a lot of favourable op-eds published in the mainstream media" newz outlets.
That latter quotable quote popped into my head when I read the following report in CTV's news web page this morning. Please read and I will have more comments to follow:

Yes, politics is a very stinky business. Why just today, Trudeau was talking about how he and JWR have a "cordial telephone relationship"...then Katie goes and stabs her in the back. Not only that but as collateral damage, she insults a judge who put his name forward to serve in the SCC but then had to withdraw because his wife has breast cancer. Like THEY need any more grief. Not to mention the sacrificing of confidentiality and "integrity of the appointments process." For this reason alone she should resign.

Relations between Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and then-Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould first began to fray in 2017 over concerns about her choice to fill a vacancy on the Supreme Court of Canada.
A year before cabinet discussions about a plea deal for Quebec engineering company SNC-Lavalin, Trudeau and Wilson-Raybould disagreed about her recommendation of Manitoba Justice Glenn D. Joyal, sources familiar with the matter tell CTV News.
Trudeau was concerned that Joyal wasn’t committed to protecting rights that have flown out of interpretation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, particularly LGBTQ2 rights and even abortion access, neither of which are specifically enshrined in the Charter....."
"...Wilson-Raybould denied to CTV News that there was any conflict over the Supreme Court appointment and said that the selection of a new Supreme Court judge is ultimately a decision for the prime minister.
“In this process there are typically CONFIDENTIAL conversations and communications -- back and forths between the PM and the AG on potential candidates for appointment,” she said in an email.
“I do however find it extremely worrisome why you are even asking such questions and where you received any such information. Commentary / reporting in this regard with respect to a SCC appointment(s) could compromise the integrity of the appointments process and potentially sitting Justices.”
Joyal is a former provincial Crown attorney who in 2011 was appointed to the position of Chief Justice of the Manitoba Court of the Queen’s Bench by Stephen Harper’s Conservative government...."

Trouble is, thanks to Katie's original blabbing about "enough legalities" and "arranging Op-Eds" Canadians [at least the non-sheeple public with two brain neurons to rub together] now know and are acutely aware as to how the PMO office goes around "massaging the message" by planting "spin doctored" "reports" with the uniformly gullible and corrupt presstitutes This latest caper falls distinctly flat.
