VIRGINIA VS B.C. The action was fast and furious in this #12 vs. #13. Cavs looking great early with the 11-0 led and B.C. battling back to make a game of it. Despite trailing 29-23 at the half and having just seven players dressed for the game, Virginia staged a huge second half offensive performance and won going away 77-61. They outscored the Eagles 54-32 in the final twenty minutes and Jocelyn Willoughby had a big time -- with 29 points and 13 rebounds.
Things probably get a little uphill for the Charlottesville school today, they face "Q" and the #5 seed Orange of Syracuse at 11 a.m.

VIRGINIA TECH VS WAKE FOREST. The second game featured a "running on all eight cylinders" #10 seed Virginia Tech Hokie unit against #15 seed Wake Forest. And, the Forest got raked, especially in the first half, where VA. Tech put together 27-10 and 28-20 quarter triumphs to hold the 55-30 lead.
Regan Magarity and Taylor Emery got a little rest in the second half but the rest of the Hokies continued the punishment, Final was 85-63. Kenny Brooks and his talented two take the task to #7 Clemson tonight at 6 p.m.

CARDINAL COUPLE BRACKET CHALLENGE
Our guardian of the brackets, Mr. Anderson Jared, tells me that his pseudonym Jared Anderson has tallied the first day totals and out of the 23 participants, 11 still have perfect (or 3 wins no losses) entries.
Chalk players.
Good luck to all today, especially the Cardinal Couple chimps, who went 1-2. They're liable to walk out on us if they don't win. C'mon upsets and Louisville !!
I'm calling for a full inquiry and board of review on the entire proceedings.
