V-150 with RCWS (photos : Sompong Nondhasa, AAG)
On Thursday 28 February 2019 Rear Admiral Mongkol Prayoon Suk, Commander of the Marine Corps Marine Corps Command Unit attended the opening ceremony of the Royal Thai Navy annual training in 2019 at Ang Thong Royal Boat Laem Thian Pier Sattahip Naval Base, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, with Admiral Luechai Ruddidit, Naval Commander presided over the ceremony.
The photo set at the opening ceremony of the training shows the Cadillac Gage V-150 Commando 4x4, the Panzer Corps, of the Marine Corps, Royal Thai Navy . That has been equipped with a new Remote Control (RCWS: Remote Controlled Weapon Station) with the Original V-150 Commando 4x4, which installed with a fixed turret inside the fort for the M2 Browning heavy machine gun .50caliber (12.7x99mm) and MG3 machine gun 7.62x51mm of NATO.
The armored vehicle V-150 4x4, which appears in the picture, has been renovated and installed a new RCWS turret for the cover of M2 .50cal that is probably the WAVE systems of the IMI Systems (Israel Military Industries) The original Israeli IMI WAVE 200 remote turret with light weight control the fire from within this car was found to have been installed on the First Win I 4x4 MPV armored vehicle of Chaiseri Company Thailand.
According to the information of the Thai Marine Corps, the V-150 Commando has 5 personnel, 9 infantry officers, with Cummins V504 diesel engines, 202HP power, run-flat tyres. Maximum battle readiness 9.9 tons. Panus Assembly Thailand (Panus Assembly) has introduced the V-150 to be developed as a prototype of HMV-150 wheeled vehicle for the Thai Marines to be tested at the southern border. Later, Panus Thai Company has built an armored vehicle, the HMV-420, which is a completely rebuilt car, and AMV-420P wheeled armored vehicles.
In addition to V-150 there are 12 armored vehicles, BTR-3E1 8x8 from Ukraine, and received amphibious armored amphibious prototype 8x8 Amphibious Armored Personnel Carrier (AAPC) developed in Thailand.
