Here it is ladies and gents, the full point of view ride on Carowind's new double-launch roller coaster, Copperhead Strike!
The park teased us a bit earlier with a video of half of the coaster's layout, but now we have the entire ride to experience... digitally. The ride's track gets extra twisted after the second launch, which accelerates the trains to 50 miles per hour - enough speed to go through the inverted top hat element. Another vertical loop, along with many high-speed twists, turns and dives, finish out the 3,255 feet of track.
Also, if you haven't been paying attention to the calendar, Carowinds and Copperhead Strike open to the public two weeks from today! The wait is almost over! Even better, if you're a season pass holder you can get your first rides in on the new coaster one day early, on March 22nd! The park will be open for a Season Passholder Preview Night that day from 6 pm to 10 pm!
