Only Facts: The OSCE Refuted Ukraine’s Statements About Russian Troops in Donbass
This was stated during the meeting of the UN Security Council (UNSC) by the head of the Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Ertuğrul Apakan, reported Rossiyskaya Gazeta on February 13th.
During the UNSC meeting the representative of Ukraine to the organisation Vladimir Elchenko declared the unwillingness of the Russian Federation to stop the conflict in Donbass, as is evidenced by the alleged presence of Russian troops and weapons there.
In reply the permanent representative of Russia Vasily Nebenzya appealed to Apakan to explain to the Ukrainian side the official position of the OSCE on this matter.
The head of the OSCE SMM said that no facts demonstrating the correctness of Kiev in this case were recorded by the organisation.
“To avoid misunderstanding, I want to say that in our reports nothing is said about Russian military personnel. There are no personal judgments, there are only the concrete facts that we report to countries”
