L'ambasciatore francese in Italia, Christian Masset, per ora non torna in Italia.
Lo farà solo "al momento opportuno". A dirlo è un portavoce del ministero degli Esteri di Parigi rispondendo ad una domanda sulla crisi diplomatica tra la Francia e Roma.
Lo scontro va avanti da qualche giorno. Dopo le polemiche con Salvini sulle frontiere e i migranti e, soprattutto, il "blitz" di Di Maio con i gilet gialli, l'Eliseo aveva deciso di richiamare l'ambasciatore a Roma. Una mossa che non accadeva da tempo immemore e che ha portato alla fine ad una distensione dei toni. La Francia ha fatto sapere di aver richiamato il suo rappresentante per "mandare un messaggio" e dopo qualche giorno le polemiche sembravano aver lasciato il passo al dialogo.
La Francia, infatti, si è impegnata con Salvini a farsi carico dei sette migranti scesi dalla Sea Watch e che dovrebbero finire a Parigi. L'ambasciatore, però, per ora non tornerà a Roma.
Conte, in una intervista a Politico.eu ha definito la crisi con Parigi un "misunderstanding", un "malinteso". Il premier spera che l'incomprensione "possa essere risolta al più presto", ma rivendica il fatto che l'Italia "non si è arresa nell'esprimere le proprie opinioni anche quando ciò che ha dovuto dire era scomodo. Essere anti-establishment e perseguire il cambiamento non significa essere anti-Ue - sottolinea - al contrario, poiché ci preoccupiamo per l'Europa, vogliamo che diventi un'Europa delle persone, più vicina ai bisogni della gente".
L'obiettivo di Roma è quello di provare a ricucire i rapporti. "Sono certo che normalizzeremo i rapporti istituzionali - ha detto oggi il ministro Moavero a Repubblica - Resterà però la contrapposizione politica profonda, forse anche aspra nei toni, che riguarda i partiti", ma "bisogna chiarire subito quando ci si esprime da esponenti di partito e non da membri di governo. Così la conflittualità tra partiti non si trasferisce alla dialettica tra Stati".
