A Dayton man shoots his girlfriend her son and then went out like a punk. The little boy died, the terrorist died. The woman is barely surviving. If she does survive, she will realize that her life was destroyed by a madman who had no business owning a firearm. Taking away a precious child's life because "he's sorry." Anyway, the young life lost to this senseless tragedy. Carter Clemons was a 6-year old boy who had a promising future. It was cut short at such a tender age. His mother Di'eshia Patterson, was taken to the hospital, and her condition has been upgraded to serious condition.
Unfortunate circumstances for the woman. She picks the guy who loved her to death.
The Montgomery County Coroner's Office has released the official cause of death for both men as gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators are still working to find the motive behind the shootings. The terrorist worked for the United States Postal Service at the Washington Township branch. Before working at the post office, terrorist was enlisted with the U.S. Army.
Family members of Carter and Di'eshia has set up a GoFundMe to help with medical and funeral expenses.
The Gun Violence Memorial tracks the many lives lost to gun violence. There are so many names and not enough "thoughts and prayers" to bring them back.
The fault of this squarely lies on the shooter. But the enablers are Congress, the National Rifle Association and every president from 18th to 45th. I can't blame everything on Donald J. Trump but he's one of the enablers of gun violence.
