E’ stata una vera e propria sorpresa, forse un po’ troppo da film horror, quella vissuta da un gruppo di sub che stavano monitorando la carcassa di una balena al largo di Oahu nelle Hawaii. Durante l’immersione si sono trovati a faccia a faccia con uno squalo bianco gigante: “questa gigantesca creatura gentile che voleva usare la nostra barca come un posto per grattarsi“, ha spiegato ironicamente il sub Ocean Ramsey all’Honolulu Star-Advertiser. “Siamo usciti all’alba ed è rimasta con noi più o meno tutto il giorno“, ha aggiunto, spiegando che, tenendo conto della stazza e dei segni distintivi, potrebbe essere il famoso ‘Deep Blue‘, ovvero il più grande squalo bianco al mondo. “Le grandi femmine incinte sono le più sicure con cui stare, assieme agli squali più grandi e più vecchi.
