Poroshenko Rudely Insulted a Resident of Cherkassy for Asking About Corruption
The president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during the “Tomos tour” in the Cherkassy region insulted a Russian-speaking resident, having called him a “Moskal provoker” after he asked him a question about combatting corruption in the country.
During “communication with the people” Poroshenko was involved in an incident that leaked into the public sphere.
“Petro Alekseyevich, when will you fight against corruption?”
asked the local resident in Russian.
He noted that he is a representative of a local public organisation. The president said in reply, addressing the Cherkassy resident:
“You see, they sent a man who doesn’t even know Ukrainian. Moskal provokers even try to divide us here. We pray for Ukraine, for a united church, for the unity of the Ukrainian people. And let them hear: ‘Glory to Ukraine!’ Here is your answer, Mr provoker”
