Nell’elezione in Alabama abbiamo realizzato una “false flag” con finti troll russi: questa la vanteria dell’amministratore delegato della New Knowledge – una società americana specializzata in cybersecurity -, contenuta in un documento rivelato dal New York Times il 19 dicembre 2018.
Scopo dell’operazione segreta era quello di far credere che i russi sostenessero il candidato repubblicano, il quale perse a sorpresa quell’elezione straordinaria che assegnava un seggio del Senato rimasto vacante.
Una manipolazione condotta grazie all’ausilio di figure importanti, come il miliardario patron di Linkedin, Reid Hoffman, e altre società di cybersecurity vicine al partito democratico.
La New Knowledge non è un’azienda qualsiasi: ha firmato uno dei due rapporti pubblicati a metà dicembre dall’Intelligence Committee del Senato americano sulle ingerenze indebite dei russi a favore di Trump nelle presidenziali del 2016.
Uno scandalo di dimensioni epocali. Scoperti, i protagonisti della vicenda hanno ammesso il fatto, ma riducendone la portata: si sarebbe trattato di una semplice ricerca.
Ma il 6 gennaio scorso il Washington Post ha rivelato un ulteriore documento che confermerebbe, in altri termini, quanto pubblicato dal giornale della Grande Mela.
Anche se i due media Usa attutiscono la portata dell’operazione – forse è troppo destabilizzante il quadro che ne emerge – lo scandalo è scoppiato.
Sul caso Alabama potrebbe aprirsi un’inchiesta. O forse no, dal momento che getta ombre sulla narrativa che vede Trump sostenuto da Mosca, accreditata dai servizi segreti di mezzo mondo.
