Whether you liked it or not, we were subject to Donald J. Trump's address to the nation. As the dope tried to encourage the American people to back him on "border security" while funding the government, he totally missed the message.
He didn't not offer any remedies to the government shutdown. He just placed the blame of the shutdown on the Democrats. There are rumors that Trump will declare a national emergency to get the funding for the border wall.
All the networks carried it and even had fact-checkers decoding Trump's remarks.
Some of the things I happened to catch.
He proposes a steel barrier.
He uses the death of a California cop and other incidents as a scapegoat to his proposal.
Then of course, the Democrats delivered their message. Yeah, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) delivered their remarks to counter Trump. Another stalemate.
Here's what happened today.
Trump had a signing ceremony for the anti-human trafficking law. He was going to meet with Democrats for a brief encounter.
I an do mean brief.
Trump didn't stay but 30 minutes. According to the Democrats, he slammed his hands on the table and walked out after Pelosi said no to his request.
Friday, many government workers won't receive a paycheck. Americans blame Trump and Republicans overwhelmingly over the Democrats.
