The 77-year old Vermont senator lost to Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Democratic nomination. This time around, I believe Sanders will face a competitive field.
With that being said, he's the fourth Senator to announce a bid to run for president. The other lawmakers in this race include, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI).
