Un elicottero privato impegnato nel servizio di eliski e un aereo da turismo si sono scontrati in volo mentre stavano sorvolando il ghiacciaio del Rutor, a 2500 metri d’altezza nel vallone di La Thuile, in
Valle d’Aosta. Cinque le vittime accertate, i cui corpi sono già stati recuperati dal soccorso alpino, mentre altre due persone sono state trasportate in ospedale in gravi condizioni. Le operazioni di soccorso sono state sospese a causa del buio e della pericolosità della zona ma non si esclude che possano esserci ancora persone disperse.
I due feriti, uno di nazionalità svizzera e l’altro francese, sono stati portati in pronto soccorso e sono in fase diagnostica, mentre sulla nazionalità delle 5 vittime sono in corso accertamenti da parte del soccorso alpino della Guardia di Finanza. Intanto, l’Agenzia nazionale per la sicurezza del volo ha disposto l’apertura di un’inchiesta di sicurezza e l’invio di un team investigativo sul sito dell’incidente. Il team, spiega l’Ansv, svolgerà un sopralluogo operativo per chiarire le cause dell’incidente.
Sul posto sono arrivati gli elicotteri di soccorso dalle basi di Ivrea, Torino, Borgo Sesia, con personale specializzato. Dalle prime informazioni, sembra che uno dei due velivoli coinvolti sia di una ditta privata, che farebbe tour di elisky da Courmayeur, mentre l’aereo da turismo era decollato da Megève, in Francia. Al pronto soccorso dell’ospedale Le Molinette di Torino è stata attivata procedura di maxiemergenza: operative la shock room con equipe multidisciplinare, tre sale operatorie dedicate all’emergenza e 6 posti in terapia intensiva postoperatoria.
