Kantar Media ha realizado un estudio, en colaboración con YouTube y RTVE, para cuantificar el alcance de Operación Triunfo en YouTube, creado por Gestmusic Endemol y RTVE como parte de la estrategia transmedia. Esta mañana han presentado el estudio en las oficinas de Google en Madrid.

¿Cuál es el alcance total de audiencia del programa y cómo YouTube ha contribuido a aumentar la audiencia convirtiéndose así en un buen complemento de la televisión tradicional?

Ignacio Gómez, director de RTVE Digital & Investigación; Eduard Nafría, Insights & Business Development Director de Kantar Media; Justine Ryst, directora de YouTube para el Sur de Europa y Tinet Rubira, director de Gestmusic Endemol, han comentado esta mañana algunas conclusiones del estudio #EstudiOT

CONCLUSIONES
  • El 22% del consumo total de OT 2017 proviene de plataformas digitales.
  • El consumo online en jóvenes de entre 18 y 24 años alcanza el 50%, con niveles de cobertura similar entre las dos plataformas: 503.000 espectadores. El consumo online favoreció al consumo televisivo. 
  • 1 de cada 5 minutos de OT 2017 fue visto a través de YouTube.
  • Durante enero, el consumo online alcanzó a casi seis millones de espectadores (5.788.000), el 13%. El alcance total fue del 41,2% de la población (18.383.000). TV + online= 45%.
  • La multiplicidad de plataformas con contenidos exclusivos contribuyó a que el consumo, tanto en TV como en online, fuera creciendo a lo largo del concurso.
  • Casi una cuarta parte del consumo total de Operación Triunfo 2017 fue online.
  • El tiempo total dedicado por el espectador para ver el programa es igual en las diferentes plataformas ya sean en televisión o en online.
