Federico Ruffo, il giovane autore di Report che di recente aveva condotto l'inchiesta per lo storico programma televisivo
di Rai Tre sulle infiltrazioni della ‘ndrangheta nelle curve della Juventus, dando il via anche ad un mare di polemiche, soprattutto nell'ambiente bianconero.
Come riportato da "il Mattino", solo l'intervento provvidenziale di un cane, che ha iniziato ad abbaiare improvvisamente mettendo in fuga gli autori, avrebbe evitato il peggio. L'abitazione di Ruffo si trova tra Ostia Antica ed Acilia: attorno alle 4.30 circa, qualcuno ha prima disegnato una croce con della vernice rossa sulla parete della sua abitazione, poi avrebbe cosparso di benzina il pianerottolo dove c'è l'ingresso di casa sua. E a quel punto, l'intervento del cane che ha "sventato" i piani dei malviventi. Il giornalista, come riporta il Mattino, ha poi spiegato di passare "pochissimo tempo in quella casa, non ho idea di come abbiano fatto a sapere che stavo tornando".

Anche dopo la messa in onda dell'inchiesta, le polemiche erano infuriate sul web contro l'autore dell'inchiesta e la trasmissione di Report stessa.
