Kiev forces in the zone of the so-called “Joint Forces Operation on Tuesday morning shelled the Donetskiy township to show off their combat prowess to the visiting British army representatives,” Lugansk People’s Republic People’s Militia spokesman Andrey Marochko told a press briefing at the Lugansk Media Centre.
“In the morning, Ukrainian invaders, at the order of (Ukrainian army’s 10th Brigade commander) Zubanich, shelled the Donetskiy settlement causing damage to houses,” Marochko said.
“I wish to draw the community’s attention to the fact that the strike was delivered in order to demonstrate the allegedly high Ukrainian gunmen’s efficiency to the British delegation which was visiting the Sever (“North”) Operations and Tactical Group,” he added.
The spokesman said that Joint Centre for Control and Coordination specialists were at the scene to assess the shelling damage and identify the type of weapons.
“We again urge international organisations to pay attention to facts of civil infrastructure destruction in sporadic shelling of the Republic’s territory by Ukrainian armed forces,” Marochko said.
