ORLANDO A security officer suffered a fatal heart attack while on duty Thursday night authorities say.
The officer, patrolling an entertainment area near downtown was found collapsed on the ground at around 11:30p.m.
The security officer was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his medical condition.
Police have not yet released the man’s identity.

MIAMI GARDENS Police are investigating after a jogger discovered the body of a security officer during her morning run at a Miami Gardens park.
According to Miami Gardens Police, the witness found the body of 50-year-old Kevin Willis bleeding from his head in the playground area of Scott Lake Park, located near Northwest 15th Court and 176th Terrace, Friday morning.
Rosiane Lori, the jogger who found the body, spoke to 7News from her home about the gruesome discovery.
“God woke me up to go see that,” she said.
Lori, who goes for a morning jog every day at the park, said she came upon Willis’ cadaver at around 6 a.m.
“I saw blood in his head,” she said.
“Miami Gardens Police Department responded about 6:15 this morning to the call of a black male who was found lying,, bleeding from the head area, here at Scott Lake Park,” said Miami Gardens Police Officer Carolyn Frazer.
Lori said she heard a cellphone ringing. When she found the device, it was lying next to Willis’ body.
“She saw that something was not right with the individual, so she went to go and get help,” said Frazer.
Officials confirmed Willis had been shot in the head.
Willis was wearing a security guard’s outfit. However, police said he does not work for the City of Miami Gardens.
Police said that they have determined that the victim left his home, located less than a mile away from the park, just before midnight on Thursday in a silver 2017 Chrysler 300 with the Florida license plate KEAD17. Detectives are searching for his car, which remains missing.
Police say that this is a possible carjacking at the man was believed to be on his way to work.
