Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley, who wants nothing to do with the vast number of eyewitness accounts of Brett Kavanaugh being drunk and aggressive, is demanding Ford
turn over notes from her therapy sessions and recordings of the lie detector test she took.
Ford’s ex-boyfriend claimed that Ford had helped a housemate prepare for a polygraph in preparation for a federal job interview. Monica McClean, the housemate in question, rejects this, saying that “I have never had Christine Blasey Ford, or anybody else, prepare me, or provide any other type of assistance whatsoever in connection with any polygraph exam I have taken at anytime.”
The letter from Ford’s ex-boyfriend, which was magically obtained by Fox News (and I won’t stoop to link), also disputes that she is afraid to fly and smears her personally on multiple fronts, while insisting that “I found her truthful and maintain no animus towards her.” The letter is dated October 2, which is particularly interesting in light of the fact that Republican female assistant Rachel Mitchell grilled Ford on September 27 about whether she had ever spoken to anyone about how to take a polygraph test, creating the strong impression that Mitchell (spoon-fed by Senate Republicans) thought she knew something.
It’s one more sign that Republicans are nervous about Kavanaugh and think they need to line up every possible line of attack. It’s an even stronger reminder of what foul, disgusting human beings these are.
