Biak (ANTARA News) - Markas besar TNI Angkatan Udara membangun fasilitas fisik Skuadron udara 27 pesawat CN 235 di pangkalan udara Manuhua Biak Numfor. 

Komandan Pangkalan Udara Manuhua Biak Marsekal Pertama TNI Fajar Adriyanto di Biak, Jumat mengatakan kehadiran Skuadron pesawat CN 235 di Kabupaten Biak Numfor diharapkan dapat mendukung kelancaran angkutan udara untuk menunjang pelayanan roda perekonomian masyarakat di tanah Papua. 

"Idealnya ada sekitar 12 pesawat CN 235 yang akan mendukung operasional Skuadron 27 Lanud Manuhua Biak, ya untuk tahap awal akan ada tiga atau empat pesawat beroperasi," ungkap Marsma TNI Fajar menanggapi pembentukan Skuadron 27 Biak. 

Ia mengakui untuk tahapan pekerjaan fisik pembangunan fasilitas Skuadron 27 akan dimulai pada Senin pekan depan. 

Marsma Fajar mengharapkan dukungan semua elemen masyarakat Biak Numfor sehingga pembangunan Skuadron 27 dapat selesai tepat waktu. 

Sementara itu, Sekretaris Lembaga Adat Biak (KKB) Yan Rumbarar mengatakan akan mengawal proses pembangunan fasilitas Skuadron 27 di Lanud Mahuhua Biak. 

"Saya harapkan pekerjaan pembangunan fisik Skuadron 27 memperhatikan pekerja lokal masyarakat Biak, ya ini bagian dari pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat adat," ucap Yan Rumbarar. 

Ia mengatakan secara kelembagaan dan masyarakat adat mendukung sepenuhnya pelaksanaan pembangunan Skuadron udara 27 Biak. 

Pembangunan fasilitas hanggar Skuadron udara 27 di Lanud Manuhua Biak ditandai dengan pembacaan doa bersama dengan tokoh adat, tokoh masyarakat, Ketua DPRD Zeth Sandy serta komandan satuan TNI dan Polri.
