Recentemente in Svezia si è svolto il 'Statement Festival', il primo festival musicale dedicato interamente alle donne e alle persone non binarie(1).
Tale festival è stato considerato il primo festival 'libero dagli uomini cisgender', ovvero sia tutti gli individui che sono nati e si sentono appartenenti al genere maschile(non importa quale orientamento).
Come riporta il New York Times(2), l'idea del festival è nata dalla comica e presentatrice radiofonica Emma Knyckare come reazione alle ondate di molestie e/o abusi che hanno interessato dei festival musicali recenti e in tal modo si fonda sull'idea di creare 'uno spazio sicuro per le donne'.
Su ciò, ci sarebbe anche da dire che una grande parte dei colpevoli di tali molestie e/o abusi è stata identificata in individui di origine extracomunitaria(3).
