Recentemente in Svezia si è svolto il primo festival vietato agli uomini cisgender(ovvero sia individui che sono nati e si sentono maschi, a prescindere dall'orientamento), il 'Statement'(1).
Tale festival è nato a seguito delle ondate di molestie e abusi che hanno riguardato diversi festival musicali.
C'è da dire che l'idea di vietare l'ingresso agli uomini ai festival è più che legittima(ognuno può decidere chi fare entrare o meno) ma certamente è controverso decidere ciò in base alla paura e alla generalizzazione(demonizzazione?) nei confronti di un'intera categoria di persone.
Il fatto è che gli uomini che si macchiano di queste gravi azioni sono una minoranza in Svezia e ,d'altronde, nel caso si fosse vietato l'ingresso a tutti i migranti(magari mediorientali e di origine africana) per via di abusi commessi da una minoranza di essi tutti i media avrebbero parlato di discriminazione razzista.
Tra l'altro, c'è da segnalare che i principali accusati delle stesse molestie e/o abusi sono immigrati extracomunitari e ciò potrebbe far pensare a una sorta di 'doppio standard'(magari ideologico).
Difatti, se è sbagliato diffondere paura verso l'intera categoria dei migranti non si capisce perché dovrebbe essere considerato legittimo farlo verso un'intera categoria di individui appartenenti ad un altro genere, o no ?
