The legendary filmmaker appeared on HBO's Real Time Friday night
During the Overtime segment of HBO's Real Time, filmmaker Michael Moore attempted to get through to the Americans who voted for President Donald Trump how much their lives will improve when he is out of power and the Democrats take over.
Asked by host Bill Maher if the country is moving left under Trump, Moore immediately asserted that the U.S. is "a liberal country."
"Here's the thing-- when we're back in charge, or I guess is should say if, here is what is going to happen," he began. "For all the people out there who voted for Trump, when we get Medicare for all, you're going to be covered too. When we don't go into the next war, we won't send your children off to war either. You get the benefit from all the things. We're going to fix climate change -- you'll get to live."
Pressed to not make promises he can't keep as the Republicans do, Moore shot back, "I don't want to be better than them anymore, I want to win, I want them out" to wild applause.
