Quando ad essere toccati sono gli interessi dei territori e le battaglie storiche giallo o verdi, ecco venir fuori i due governi. Appunto, ce n'è uno che pensa agli interessi M5s e un altro che difende con forza le richieste degli amministratori locali del Carroccio. Al centro vi è sempre il problema dei soldi e così sta succedendo anche per le Olimpiadi del 2026, benedette da Matteo Salvini perché in gara ci sono Milano e Cortina, e quasi osteggiate dal Movimento 5 Stelle che in batteria lancia l'avvertimento che il governo non dovrà stanziare soldi.
Il leader leghista le chiama "rivalità di campanile", quelle alla base della mancata candidatura di Torino. Ma sono proprio queste rivalità tra M5s e Lega a dividere il governo. La città della Mole amministrata dalla pentastellata Chiara Appendino è fuori e invece Milano e Cortina, con un governo regionale a trazione leghista, sono in gara per ospitare i giochi invernali.
A questo punto i grillini difendono le casse dello Stato: "Se vogliono fare le Olimpiadi dovranno trovare loro i soldi". Il messaggio è diretto a Matteo Salvini che poco prima si era impegnato a nome dell'esecutivo dicendo che è "un dovere degli enti locali e del governo sostenere chi non si ritira".

Tuttavia soprattutto il governatore del Veneto Luca Zaia ha già battuto cassa e in fondo Salvini ha risposto positivamente. "Sentir dire adesso che sono uno spreco – afferma il governatore del Veneto - perché loro non ci sono più, è anche poco rispettoso per chi ha lavorato al dossier". Subito dopo parla il leader leghista: "Le Olimpiadi portano molti più soldi e vantaggi degli investimenti e noi lavoreremo per mettere d'accordo tutti facendo il possibile perché siano ospitate dall'Italia". I toni non sono stati graditi dagli M5s ed è per questo che a tarda sera il sottosegretario Giancarlo Giorgetti è costretto a correggere il tiro: "Se Lombardia e Veneto trovano investitori privati e il governo non ci mette niente, facciano pure". Ma ancora la strada è lunga e se l'Italia sarà scelta, la risposta arriverà l'anno prossimo, sarà tutta un'altra storia.
