Il tributo dedicato da Giusy Ferreri ad Aretha Franklin ha scatenato un’ondata di polemiche sul web. La cantante, insieme a Boomdabash e Street Clerks, si è esibita sul palco Deejay On Stage a Riccione il 16 agosto scorso sulle note di “Think”. L’esibizione, pensata come un omaggio alla regina del soul, ha però scatenato l’indignazione dei presenti e di una parte del pubblico sul web, dove il filmato è stato caricato.
Le polemiche che hanno investito la Ferreri
Nel video si vede l’artista cantare uno tra i più grandi successi della Franklin, tenendo tra le mani un foglio sul quale era stato stampato il testo della canzone. “Vergogna, nemmeno la decenza di impararlo a memoria” tuonano sui social quelli che non hanno apprezzato il fatto di vedere l’artista cantare uno tra i più grandi successi della cantante scomparsa, senza impararne il testo. Cheryl Porter, cantante che ha collaborato con artisti del calibro di Zucchero e Paolo Conte, ha scritto: “Devono chiedere scusa. È un insulto alla memoria della più grande cantante della storia della musica. Siamo a livelli bassissimi. Hanno preso la peggiore per rappresentare la migliore. La morte di Aretha Franklin
Aretha Franklin è morta il 16 agosto scorso, a 76 anni. Era gravemente malata dal 2010, anno in cui le fu diagnosticato un cancro al pancreas. L’ultima apparizione pubblica risale al novembre del 2017 quando prese parte all’evento organizzato da Elton John per la sua "Elton John AIDS Foundation". In quel’occasione era già apparsa terribilmente provata.
