The Pechersky disctrict court of Kiev ordered the Prosecutor General’s Office to investigate violations committed by the country’s leaders that led to the deaths of thousands of people in the Ilovaisk and Debaltsevo cauldrons. This was reported by the people’s deputy and head of the Rada Committee for Legislative Support for Law Enforcement Vitaly Kupry on Facebook.

14 серпня суд постановив ухвалу, якою зобов’язав Генеральну прокуратуру розслідувати злочини Президента Порошенка, начальника Генштабу Муженка, екс-Міністра оборони Гелетея, екс – командувача сектору «Д» генерал – лейтенанта Литвина та Головного військового прокурора Матіоса, які передбачені низкою статтей Кримінального Кодексу України, у тому числі держзрада.

“On August 14th the court ruled that the Prosecutor General’s Office is obliged to investigate the crimes of President Poroshenko, the chief of the General Staff Muzhenko, the former Minister of Defence Geletey, the former commander of sector ‘D’ General-Lieutenant Litvin, and the Chief military prosecutor Matios stipulated by a number of articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – including treason,” he reported.
He noted that this concerns “those guilty of the Ilovaisk tragedy and the Debaltsevo cauldron, the desertion and criminal orders of Generals, their non-professionalism and indifference, and also the concealment of these crimes by military prosecutors”.
“The perpetrators must also be held accountable for the military parade of August, 2014 when the equipment so necessary for soldiers was used for PR and window dressing instead of saving the lives of heroes,” stressed Kupry.
In addition, the court indicated the need to investigate “the capture by the main military Prosecutor’s office of real estate belonging to the family of the former people’s deputy Aleksandr Shepelev for a sum of more than $100 million”.
Kupry also attached scans of the corresponding court rulings.
