The Dayton Mall is losing another anchor store. Sears Holding Group announced its latest round of closings in the wake of its eminent demise. The only Sears remaining will be at the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek.

The Dayton area was singled out yet again.

The company announced that the Dayton Mall location as well as two Cincinnati area Sears are closing as well.

The company is a "dead store walking" and it's faulting technology as one of the big reasons to why sales are lagging. Also foot traffic at malls across the country are down. Most people are looking at lifestyle centers and online sources such as Amazon.

A good chunk of Americans are going to be out of jobs. Uh, oh.

Republicans, how's that tax cut working for us?

Dayton has not seen the magic of Donald J. Trump. The state of Ohio went to Trump in a surprise win. Ever since he has been in office, jobs are coming but nothing is satisfactory. Wages are either stagnant or low. Most Americans are not happy with the Jobs and Tax Cuts Act. Even companies like Sears couldn't use the tax breaks.

Sears like most companies owe massive amounts of debt. It is struggling to keep itself afloat. When the company merged with Kmart it did reasonable well but the leverage buyout from equity firms put massive debt on the company.

Now Dayton is one of the 20 fastest dying cities in America. Thanks capitalism.

The community lost TerraData, a company that does government work. It moves to San Diego.

There are no Kmart locations in Dayton.

Bon-Ton, the retail company that owns the Elder-Beerman chains are closing up shop.

Toys R Us are no longer around.

ALDI closed up shop in west Dayton leaving the area with only Save A Lot and local establishments like Foodtown. The area is a food dessert.

Good Samaritan Hospital, a hospital associated with the corporate health care company Premier Health Network closed up in northwest Dayton after 86 years.

Some of the Taco Bell, United Dairy Farmers, Arby's, Circle K, McDonald's and KFC locations are gone in the city.

Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH), Rep. Steve Chabot (R-OH) and Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) represent the Dayton metro region. Hold these guys accountable. They support Trump and the destruction of the middle class by the way of capitalism and greed. They want to strip you of the safety net and often blame the poor for the debt crisis.

Dayton keeps electing these losers. So in turn, Dayton becomes the loser.

The other locations are the Florence Mall in Florence, Kentucky and Northgate Mall in Cincinnati. Those two malls are struggling as well. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) are from that area. Hold them accountable.

Retail apocalypse is coming and the demise of Sears could trigger a recession.
