I Benetton avrebbero brindato già la sera del 14 agosto, poche ore dopo il crollo del ponte Morandi. Secondo quanto riporta il Fatto, in un locale di Cortina parte della famiglia avrebbe festeggiato il compleanno del marito di Sabrina, figlia di Gilberto Benetton. E così chi era presente a quella festa avrebbe raccontato: “Brindavano, qualcuno ballava anche sui tavoli con la musica a tutto volume. Sono andati avanti fino a tardi”.
Un vero e proprio party subito dopo il crollo che ha anticipato la festa in famiglia del 15 agosto. C’è chi a Cortina quella festa l’ha sentita e vista di straforo e adesso racconta come sono andate le cose: “Il festeggiato si alternava alla consolle col dj per cambiare la musica. Il volume era alto si sentiva per tutta la montagna”. Al party del 14 sera però non c’erano gli altri membri della famiglia. Poi la reunion per il pranzo del 15 che come riportato da La Verità sarebbe costato 8mila euro. I Benetton però sul party di compleanno restano con le bocche cucite. Ma sempre secondo quanto riporta il Fatto, c’è la testimonianza di un’amica di famiglia: “Mettetevi nei loro panni come potevano annullare tutto. C’erano ospiti che arrivavano dall’estero. Io riconosco, sono distrutti”.
