New York Times reporters say the president has a strict no-CNN policy.

President Donald Trump flew into a rage during his recent foreign trip when a TV on Air Force One was tuned to CNN instead of Fox News, according to a report Tuesday night from the New York Times.

Reporters Katie Rogers and Maggie Haberman say in the report that it was First Lady Melania Trump's TV that was showing CNN.

They say that he took his anger out on the staff, causing "a bit of a stir," according to emails the reporters obtained. The report says that officials have made tuning TVs to Fox News standard procedure.

"The channel-flipping flap was the latest example of how Mr. Trump, at a pivotal moment in his presidency, is increasingly living in a world of selected information and bending the truth to his own narrative," they write. "As his aides work to keep him insulated from the outside world, Mr. Trump is doubling down in his efforts to tell supporters to trust him over the words of critics and news reports."

As AlterNet reported earlier, Trump stepped up his assault on the truth Tuesday when he told viewers of his VFW speech that they shouldn't believe their own eyes.

“It's all working out," he said. "Just remember: what you're seeing and what you're reading is not what's happening."

As for Trump himself, it seems he doesn't even want to see anything that contradicts his worldview.
