“It’s too much to say he's part of the swamp because he has conservative issues that he's voted on,” the host said.
Fox News host David Asman on Thursday admitted that being a member of “the swamp” really just means being a liberal, letting it slip on “Outnumbered” that despite a “Washington elite” upbringing, potential Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is too conservative to qualify.
Asman was discussing Donald Trump’s potential Supreme Court nominees, explaining that some critics are concerned that Kavanaugh is too much apart of the beltway, having been born in Bethesda, Maryland.
“Specifically the problem with Kavanaugh, just to focus on the list, is that there are a lot of—a growing number of conservatives that really don't like him, who think he's too much a part of the beltway,” Asman said. “He was born just outside of Bethesda, Maryland. Sort of grew up in that beltway environment.”

Trump has contended that “the swamp” refers to a culture of corruption in Washington D.C.
