The Philippines Men’s Under-19 National Team is all set to compete in the AFF Under-19 Championship beginning 1 July 2018 in Surabaya, Indonesia. The team left for the tournament on 29 June 2018 after a final tune-up match with Davao Aguilas FC last 27 June 2018.

The Philippines is in Group A and will face Singapore on 1 July, Vietnam on 3 July, host Indonesia on 5 July, Thailand on 7 July, and Laos on 9 July.

The coaching staff is headed by PFF Head of Youth Development Reiji Hirata and assisted by coaches Roxy Dorlas, Gerald Orcullo, Christian Salanguit, and goalkeeping coach Anthony Albao.

“These players have a lot of potential and are very creative,” said Hirata.

“We wish the Philippines Under-19 team, led by Coach Reiji Hirata, the best of luck in the AFF Under-19 Championships in Indonesia,” said PFF general secretary Atty. Edwin Gastanes. “The team is in a tough group but they are determined to give their all on the field.”

The team had their preparations at the PFF National Training Center inside the San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite in the month of June 2018.
