Enrico Mentana in un'intervista al Fatto Quotidiano parla di Silvio Berlusconi e di quanto accaduto negli utlimi anni.
Il direttore di Tg La/ ripercorre le vicende del 2011 e la caduta del governo guidato dal Cavaliere. Mentana ha le idee molto chiare su quanto accaduto e afferma: "Per questo hanno disarcionato Silvio Berlusconi. Un equilibrio tra imprenditoria, istituzioni e partiti, dove quest'ultimi decidevano, tanto è vero che a un certo punto il mondo dell'economia e della finanza ha creato un suo partito intorno a Enrico Cuccia. Si è sempre trattato, però, di una "forza residuale, anche quando è arrivato Berlusconi".
Da qui lo scontro tra due parti. Una, quella guidata dal Cavaliere, con l'obiettivo di cambiare il sistema semplificandolo, dall'altra quella della classe dirigente che mirava a conservare il potere: Berlusconi prima di entrare in politica - spiega Mentana - aveva ben chiaro un punto: doveva semplificare. E quando ha vinto le elezioni, lo choc per la classe dirigente di allora è stato di perdere i posti di controllo. Anche per questo l'hanno disarcionato".
Infine il direttore di Tg La7 si lascia andare ad una frase che lascia intendere quali possano essere i meccanismi del potere dietro le quinte: "In un grattacielo di 30 piani la figura più importante non è chi abita nell'attico, ma il tecnico dell'ascensore...".
