Hi all
I have been using my laptop is a 3168ngw hp laptop which looks like this model: https://webshop.cashconverters.com.au/thumbnail/425x260/2718307-hp-3168ngw-laptop-0.jpg
I have been using this laptop for a little under a year now. Today, I was using it and suddenly it shut down by itself/crashed. I remember it displayed at least half battery-life while I was using it.
At the moment this is what my laptop currently does (other than absolutely nothing):

When i press/hold the power button, the power light lights up for 3 seconds, then turns off.

When i plug my laptop into its charger, the charger light lights up indicating that my laptop is indeed charging.
Admittedly I spilled a VERY small amount of water while I was using it and the water might've leaked into the space-bar. It was only a splash, but it is possible it is a culprit.
Any insight (hardware problem, etc.) is greatly appreciated. I would ideally like to keep my laptop and its data (unfortunately most of my work for university is not backed-up) to continue doing my assignments.
