Altough this already is happening since the last update (or the last two updates - I'm not sure anymore), I've decided to wait for the April update and see if this one works.
Turns out: It still doesn't work.
Im getting the following error message: "the installation has failed during SAFE_OS with error in operation REPLICATE_OC"
With the error code: "0x8007001F - 0x20006"
I've read on some websites, that maybe my registry is the issue. However I don't recall messing with the registry, but maybe I did it unintentionally? There are some websites that promise to fix this error, but most of them seem quite fishy. (especially this one: http://repairpcproblems.org/windows-10-install-error-code-0x8007001f-0x20006.php)
A few guys on r/pcmasterrace have tried to help me, but all of their solutions did not work! (https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/8fqzg5/the_update_rises/dy63byo/) Also do note, that this was still before the April update. For some reason before the April update I kept getting one of two different error messages every time I tried the update (0x8007001F & 0x80242006)
Also I am considering reinstalling/resetting Windows, but I would prefer not to do this or only do it as a last option, if everything else fails.
I am currently running Windows 10 Version 1703 on a self-built PC. Specs are as following: Intel Core i5 6600K CPU, Asus Strix R9 390X GPU, AsRock Z170 Extreme 4 motherboard, HyperX Fury RAM. The OS is installed on a HyperX Savage SSD. It may be worth noting, that I've been having problems with one of the RAM slots on my motherboard. However I switched the RAM sticks to different slots and this seems to have solved the problem.
I will be grateful for any advice. Hopefully you guys can help me!
