With the most recent Windows update, my PC randomly created an E drive. I previously only had just a C drive, and I would like to keep it that way.
When simply clicking on and opening the drive, it shows that it has no contents. However, when I use the little Windows tools, it shows that it has a folder for DirectX Shader Cache and a folder for the Recycling Bin. Both of those folders show a disk space usage of 0 bytes. However, the E drive showed that it had most of its 500 MB space used up and was spamming my computer with notifications of wanting to "clean the drive."
However, I couldn't clean the drive because the files are extra-hidden to the point where it is seemingly impossible to access whatever the hell is in there.
I tried formatting the drive and then removing it using Disk Management, but it won't let me. It says that it is an "OEM Partition" which I assume is why it won't let me delete it.
Whatever it is, I formatted it and seem to be unable to delete it. The space is not of my concern, it's the fact that it was randomly created and I have no idea what purpose it serves.
