My PC boots just fine with a displayport cable that it has been with since I built it 2 or 3 years ago.
When changing to any of the newer displayport cables I just bought (2 from monoprice, 1 from amazon), none of them would boot past the windows 10 logo.
I tried to check the bios and it boots in there just fine. I ended up uninstalling my GPU drivers with DDU program and ran the displayport through the onboard intel card and it boots just fine. Then after reinstalling the GPU drivers (AMD Fury X card) and unplugging the DP cable from the onboard to the GPU, same issue. The only cable that works is my older cable, but none of the new ones.
So next thing I tried having my monitor turned off like some forum posts suggest and then turn it on with the new cable, but still no luck.
I am at a lost right now, hopefully someone can help out.
