Ok so I just got the at2020 microphone xlr, along with a cheapo 20 dollar interface (with 48v phantom power) along with an xlr to usb. Whenever I record on audacity with the mic, it picks up my voice fine, but it always has this large humming noise going throughout the mic. When I turn off the interface, it still has the hum even when the interface is off (no noise going through the mic.) This tells me it has nothing to do with background noise. When I turn off the “ACP” setting, the loud hum goes away entirely but my voice is almost nonexistent and there’s still a deep hum in place of it. I tested this on a laptop and desktop pc, unplugged the usb and repluggged them into multiple USB ports throughout both computers to no avail. Any tips? My mic is an at2020 (ofc) my cheapo interface is “Neewer 1-Channel 48V Phantom Power Supply with Adapter”.
