Hi guys, figured I'd ask here.
My gf's laptop (cheap Lenovo Ideapad) let her down yeasterday. After she launched the system, the keyboard was working for a short while and then stopped and hasn't worked since. The touchpad works from time to time (as she says), I haven't seen it work at all since the problems started. If I plug a mouse, it works.
Now, I haven't experienced that myself when I tried to check on the laptop with my limited knowledge, but she claims the system randomly shut down a couple of times (Windows 10 home)
Apparently those problems started yesterday morning, after an automatic update. Looking at the update history, there were 3 updates that day. I tried removing one of them but it would cause a freeze with an annoying sound anytime I tried to click on something. When restarting the system it would just install the update again. One of the updates seemed to be impossible to remove - at least there was no 'uninstall' button to it.
Do you think the problems have something to do with the updates or it's just a coincidence they were installed right before? My gf claims the laptop didn't take a hit or anything - but maybe it's a "mechanical" issue?
If there's any relevant information missing I'll try to provide it, I have basically no knowledge in these matters and not sure what info is important.
