L'Isis è ormai quasi del tutto sconfitto in Siria e in Iraq, ma la sua pericolosità non deve essere ancora sottovalutata.
Il fatto è che diversi opinionisti sostengono che l'autoproclamato Stato Islamico potrebbe tentare una nuova offensiva avente come obiettivo una nuova 'fase di conquista' nelle terre in cui un tempo comandava.
Non solo: stando ad un articolo pubblicato su 'Gli Occhi Della Guerra'(1) la presenza dell'Isis risulta essere ancora relativamente forte in Libia.
Difatti, come scritto dal giornalista Mauro Indelicato per lo stesso sito web di geopolitica legato al 'Giornale' e stando ad un articolo di 'Agenzia Nova'(2), nelle ultime ore alcune fonti locali hanno informato "circa un innalzamento delle misure di sicurezza attorno Sirte, con mezzi e uomini schierati a presidio della città".
Il fatto è che vi sarebbero ipotetici "movimenti sospetti di terroristi fedeli al califfato", che "sarebbero stati notati nelle scorse ore nelle zone immediatamente a sud di Sirte"(4).
Su tale situazione, c'è da ricordare che Sirte è stata tra il 2015 ed il 2016 la capitale del 'califfato libico' dell’Isis, il quale è sorto dopo che determinate fazioni di matrice islamista locale avevano deciso di prestare fedeltà allo stesso Stato Islamico.
