Guardando le foto scattate nei giorni scorsi e pubblicate su Instagram da fotografi ed escursionisti si può far difficoltà a crederci. Eppure questo bellissimo laghetto australiano, di colore azzurro intenso, è più difficile da trovare di quanto si possa pensare. Non solo si trova nascosto fra le montagne del Sud della Tasmania, ma si rivela poche volte l'anno. E' per questo che è stato ribattezzato Disappearing Tarn, per la sua capacità di comparire e scomparire in poche ore.
A riempirlo d'acqua non è una sorgente sotterranea. Sono le forti piogge a trasformare questo angolo di foresta in un lago. Ma proprio cose si forma dal niente, così sparisce, man mano che l'acqua viene riassorbita dal terreno.
A volte rimane per giorni, altre bastano poche ore per vederlo prosciugare.
