Alla fine degli anni Trenta del secolo scorso, Adolf Hitler ordinò la costruzione di una vera fortezza su rotaie: il “Fuhrersonderzug”, un treno speciale il cui nome in codice era “Erika” (ma alcune fonti riferiscono “Amerika”), in grado di proteggerlo durante i suoi spostamenti e che facesse da bunker sicuro quando Hitler si avvicinava al fronte per incontrare i propri generali e dirigere le operazioni dell’armata tedesca.
IL TRENO SPACIALE DI HITLER
Il Fuhrersonderzug venne utilizzato come quartier generale mobile di Hitler e del suo seguito dall’agosto 1939 fino all’invasione della Grecia nel maggio 1941 da parte delle forze tedesche e italiane per essere poi utilizzato per gli spostamenti tra Berlino e i vari quartier generali a Berchtesgaden, Monaco, Bad Munstereifel, Berghof, la Tana del Lupo (“Wolfsschanze”) presso Ketryn, in Polonia, e altri ancora.
COME ERA FATTO E CHE FINE FECE IL TRENO DI HITLER?
Il mistero circonda ancora a quasi 80 anni l’esatta composizione del treno di Hitler e la sua fine. Alcuni dettagli vennero tuttavia rivelati da documenti di viaggio compilati in occasione del viaggio dalla stazione di Anhalter Bahnhof (l’ex stazione centrale di Berlino) alla Tana del Lupo, il 24 giugno 1941. Di quel convoglio sappiamo che era composto da 17 elementi.
COSA SAPPIAMO DEL FUHRERSONDERZUG
Aprivano il convoglio due locomotive classe BR53, vi erano poi il vagone personale del Fuhrer (numero di matricola 10206), il vagone delle sue guardie del corpo, le Reichssicherheitsdienst (un corpo speciale delle SS), un vagone comando con sala conferenza e centro di comunicazioni, due vagoni ristorante, un vagone col bagno, due vagoni per gli ospiti, due vagoni con pezzi contraerei, due vagoni bagagli, due vagoni letto per il personale e un vagone per ricevere e inviare comunicati stampa.
LA WERMACHT DISTRUSSE IL VAGONE DI HITLER
Mentre vi sono prove che la Wermarcht distrusse il vagone 10206 nel 1945, nessuna prova certa si ha del destino degli altri vagoni, che secondo alcuni potrebbero essere stati usati fino alla fine degli anni sessanta una volta riadattati al comune utilizzo commerciale. Ma non esiste nessuna certezza sull’effettiva fine di vagoni e delle locomotive che composero il treno speciale di Hitler, che dunque resta avvolta nel mistero.
