Hello techers
Today I decided to re-install windows on my desktop. When I did that, I had to make a virtual flash drive on my eternal harddrive (I think, I'm not sure what the hell went on). After re-installing windows, I started up my external harddrive to extract the drivers for my motherboard, but only the windows boot exe's were on the drive.
I panicked, since my bachelor thesis and all my pictures was on it, and desperately ran through all its properties. Doing this I discovered, that it says the capacity is down to 31,9GB and only 4,09GB are in use. Since it's a harddrive with 500GB, I think I may have partitioned (or what it's called), so that it only shows one partition, with the windows files on it. Going to the properties and then to "hardware", I can see its old name pop up, "Seagate FreeAgent", where as I can only see a drive called "ESD-USB" from the folder of my desktop. Also the ESD-USB is (E:) and my external harddrive was named (F:).
Are there any ways I can get back to my stuff on my harddrive or get it to show up again from the "Desktop" folder?
I have attached pictures of the folder and of the properties window. Please ask for more if needed.
