Il 5 maggio 1818 nasceva a Treviri il pensatore Karl Marx.
A distanza di ben 200 anni, bisogna dire che tale pensatore tedesco di origine ebraica risulta essere ancora influente e fondamentale per chi voglia analizzare la società contemporanea.
Al di là delle diverse opinioni che si possono avere sulle sue tesi, risulta indubbio che lo studio delle teorie marxiane sia imprescindibile per chi voglia interessarsi e/o occuparsi non solo di filosofia, ma anche di altre discipline legate alle scienze sociali, così come all'economia(specialmente l'economia politica e a politica econmica).
Il fatto è che l'influenza marxiana è stata alquanto fondamentale in diversi settori culturali e, d'altro canto, sono state altrettanto fondamentali le critiche ai concetti marxiani espresse negli stessi settori o nelle già citate discipline legate alle scienze sociali e all'economia.
Detto questo, bisogna dire che le teorie marxiane sono risultate essere alquanto interessanti e ricche di spunti utili per comprendere il funzionamento dei processi economici regolanti determinate società e, allo stesso modo, sono state anche considerate controverse in alcuni punti.
Su ciò, bisogna dire che vi sono state diverse critiche dello stesso pensiero marxiano e, d'altronde, bisogna sostenere che le teorie di Marx vanno considerate sia fondamentali nei loro 'aspetti verificati' e da 'rivedere' e superare negli stessi aspetti critici.
Comunque sia, è indubbio che Karl Marx sia stato un pensatore che ha contribuito a cambiare la società umana e le sue interpretazioni.
