I'm a Peace Corps Volunteer serving in Cambodia, and within the first 2 days of training, my regular laptop broke (started beeping loudly and just overall refused to start up), so I bought a new one online and had my folks send it to me. This was back in September of 2017, and this new laptop is the Lenovo ideapad 320 with an AMD A12 7th Gen processor. It came pre-installed with Windows 10, and I gotta say:
Windows 10 is awful.
It lags randomly for tiny things light right clicking a file. The mouse will turn invisible after zooming in on an image. It constantly reads 100% disk usage (even after doing all the tricks most people recommend to fix that issue), it freaks out if I have 3-4 File Explorer windows open (I even opened a new one while typing without any others opened and it took 10 seconds and lagged for 5), the bluetooth shuts off audio randomly while saying it's still connected to whatever device forcing me to restart it, it overheats like a motherfucker (part of that might be because I'm in Cambodia), and overall, I'm just havin' a bad time with it.
Thankfully my other laptop fixed itself some how (literally, I didn't touch the thing for 4 months and when I turned it on it started up no problem and works consistently now), but it's a tad worse for the wear since it's 6 years old. I'd like to install Windows 7 on this newer laptop and keep the other one as a back up.
How do I go about doing this?
Even now just before posting it, the cursor fucking lagged while attempting to scroll down to post. Fuck Windows 10.
