Hello all,
I am attempting to install Windows 10 32-bit on a Dell Inspiron 531. When attempting to boot from the 16GB removable USB drive that I have imaged the OS to, the BIOS refuses to use the flash drive. I have set that removable drive as the priority boot device and USB is enabled, but the system simply lists the status of all drives with SATA connections on boot. Prior to this, I have used diskpart to format and partition the flash drive, then write to it with Win32DiskImager - I have tried with Rufus, as well.
Here are the specs for the 531:
AMD Athlon X2 6000+ @3.00GHz
4GB DDR2 @667MHz(3.5GB usable for 32-bit systems)
Dell RY206 motherboard w/ Nvidia iGPU(DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0)
250GB Seagate BarraCuda 7200 HDD on SATA_0
350W Dell Stock PSU
Dell BIOS ver. 1.0.8(most recently available)
The system should be able to run Windows 10 64-bit, though I am installing the 32-bit version - everything checks out for system requirements.
